I’m a Vienna-based film editor with over 20 years of experience in fiction and documentary.

My work has taken me across a wide range of long-form storytelling — from feature films and shorts to true crime, history, current affairs and character-driven documentaries. Along the way, I’ve learned to find structure in complex material, build tension across longer arcs and, above all, stay close to character and emotion.

Documentary has been an invaluable training ground for this. Working with real people and unscripted material teaches you to recognise the smallest shifts in behaviour, find performances that were never planned and shape scenes from what actually happened rather than what was written on the page.

At the same time, fiction has always been part of my work and the reason I became an editor in the first place. I studied film and dramaturgy, edited a feature and several short films, and spent several years in Berlin working around international feature productions, including Cloud Atlas, Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters and In Darkness.

Today, I bring those experiences together. I’m particularly interested in ambitious, character-driven series and films where performance, structure and emotional storytelling are at the heart of the edit.
